Workshops Terms & Conditions 2016

  1. Definition of Workshop: A one day event or less.

  1. Health: All students are expected to take responsibility for and care of themselves and their physical and mental health during and after any workshop.

  1. Payment: Payment of all fees due to Cara, hereafter referred to the “Workshop Organiser” is required in full before the first day of the workshop, unless otherwise agreed with workshop organiser. Payment must be made using one of the ‘Payment Methods’ described on the booking instructions.

  1. Registration: A delegate will be deemed to be registered on a workshop when the full fee has been paid and a notification of acceptance been received by the delegate.

  1. Acceptance: Once accepted, you are deemed to be personally liable for all fees due.

  1. Workshop cancellation: workshops are financially self-supporting, and a minimum enrolment is therefore necessary to make each workshop viable. If, because of low enrolment or any other reason, a workshop is cancelled then the Workshop Organiser will make every reasonable effort to give registered delegates as much notice as possible (normally at least 10 working days prior to the due workshop start-date). The Workshop Organiser’s maximum liability will be limited to a refund of the workshop up to the amount which it has so far received in respect of a delegate. The Workshop Organiser will not accept liability for any costs or losses incurred by delegates or organizations which are claimed to have arisen through workshop cancellation, other than for those stated above. The Workshop Organiser reserves the right to vary arrangements for the delivery of programmes, such as venue, timings etc, and in such cases will make reasonable efforts to inform delegates in advance.

  1. Workshop postponement: Every effort will be made to run the workshops on the days and times specified. Unforeseen circumstances, such as sickness may necessitate a change of date for part or all of a workshop. Delegates will be expected within reason to accommodate such changes. However, in the event of exceptional circumstances preventing a delegate from attending a changed date then a full refund will be given for that part or those parts of the workshop not attended. No allowance will be given for those part or parts already attended. The Workshop Organiser will not accept liability for any costs or losses incurred by delegates or organizations which are claimed to have arisen through workshop postponement, other than for those stated above.

  1. Cancellation of workshop registration by a delegate: Cancellations made before 10 days of the workshop start date will be refunded monies paid less a 25% cancellation fee. We are unable to refund cancellations made with less than 10 days notice. All payments for the evening workshops are non-refundable unless more than 48 hours notice of non-attendance is given.

  1. Removal of a Delegate: In the interests of all workshop participants, the organizers reserve the right to enforce the removal of any delegate from the workshop whose behaviour or demeanour is, in their view, considered unacceptable.

  1. Terms and Conditions: The Workshop Organiser reserves the right to vary these Terms and Conditions from time to time and the current version will be that published on its website.

  1. Travel Insurance: It is the delegate’s responsibility to ensure that they have adequate travel insurance to cover their booking in the event of a cancellation or postponement.

  1. Through registering for a workshop applicants are deemed to have accepted the Terms and Conditions.
